There is a short treatise on turbobricks that talks about wiring the ecodes and the general installation instructions.

As others have mentioned since you have a non fog car you need parts from a donor 940 with fogs. The parts at the junk yard are not all that expensive and the job took me a few hours to do on my 1992 740 which is substantially the same as your car. I got the wiring and connectors for the lights by cutting out and combining several radio suppression relay wiring looms from junkyard cars.

If you already have the headlights I would go ahead with the conversion since the light pattern and overall vision are so much better with the ecodes that I cannot imagine running without them.
