thank you aleekat and boxvolvo.the bad damper would explain why notch on damper would not line up to 0 timing mark,and why timing cover was cut into.boxvolvo your pic explained why rotor doesnt point to #1.have ordered new damper,will let you know in couple days. thanks again.
