About getting old sensor out...

...may I suggest that mechanical shock may be more effective than just the brute force torque applied by a long breaker bar.

By all means, you need a breaker bar and a good-fitting 6-sided socket. But consider augmenting the bar's torque with blows from a heavy hammer down near the socket end. (Think "impact wrench".)
