Washer 4 timing belt tensioner? 200

I have stupidly misplaced the washer that goes over the timing belt tensioner and is held down in place with a 10 mm nut. I ordered the piece from Volvo but it has failed, and most likely will continue, to arrive. I went to the Home Depot and got a 12mm metric washer which is about 2 mm thick and it fits on the shaft and will hold the tensioner. Does anyone know if this washer will work in the car or is the Volvo washer of some special dimension(s)?
