You have to be the thread originator; posting the first message in a thread. Usually, the first post is a question.
With images and JavaScript on, and you logged into your brickboard account, when you review the responses in the thread to your original post, and you find an answer when looking at the thread reply post, you'll see a button graphic allow you, the thread originator, to mark a reply as an answer to your original post.
You may need to view the reply post individually; example, open the reply into its own window.
I'm unsure. Never done it. I use brickboard with JavaScript and images off. I'm on dialup. Dialup modumb is more portable than some three year+ broadband contract.
