flame trap hose

I'm not completely clear what you're asking. At idle the manifold hose and vacuum is pulling crankcase gases out of the oil trap (black-box attached to engine, not actually a flame-trap). Normal driving and boost (if turbo) crankcase gases are pulled into the air intake after the air is metered by the AMM-MAF.

If normally aspirated engine (NA), there is an additional coarse holed filter, that is the flame-trap.
