True enough, but... when they went to 544, they changed the instrument cluster, including the early 6v cars (and early 6v B16 Amazons), they did away with the volt gauge.

And all 12v cars did away with the volt gauge as far as I know (except, perhaps, for accessory gauge sets)

That's not to say a 6v gauge couldn't be changed to read for 12v.. that's for someone smarter than me.
