Trans will not shift into over drive 700

I recall my mother-in-law's 740 did that same thing - didn't want to go into O/D when cold, then as the car warmed up it started working. In this case it turned out to be a bad O/D solenoid.

If you NEVER have a need to lock out the O/D, there's a mod you can do to the solenoid to make it permanently enable O/D.
