'77 245 constantly on eBay

Advertising an item with too high a price does seem a bit weird but then it will take only one person with a yen to buy to make that price what it's "worth".
I bought a 1950's Schuco toy car made in "Western Germany" at a yard sale way back in the early '70's--paid $3. I've come close to deciding to sell it a few times so to that end I've checked ebay for the same model. Over the years I've seen a few advertised in the $150-$250 range. They're up for one or two cycles and then gone. On the other hand there has been one advertised for at least the past 2 years with an asking price of $800. So--what's it worth? When I do advertise mine, it will be at a price at which it will actually sell. -- Dave
