Sunroof electrical switch problem 700 1990

I'm almost certain the problem is in the sunroof's dash switch. Yesterday, I went to a local PNP and pulled the sunroof dash switch from an '88 745 GLT. Unfortunately, the switches are not of identical design. Nonetheless, when back at the house, I compared resistance measurements at the two toggle positions of each. My original switch showed a resistance of 7.6 mOhms with the toggle pressed down. All other measurements were 0 Ohms for my original and the '88's.

I'm thinking over of disassembling the two switches to cannibalize the better parts into one working switch.

Thanks for the response.

For the fun of Volvos,
Mike
