If the snowflake doesn't light, you might want to "check" the fuse again. If it does, then pulling the dash apart to look at the ground might be worth the effort.
Because of the higher current, the fuse is the more likely issue, and we have long joked about the passive aggression our Swedish engineers must have expressed toward us North American freon addicts in putting both the windows and the AC on the same circuit.
