Dieseling is usually a symptom of a fast idle and/or a rich mixture. Slow it down, and lean it out. Carbon deposits will also have an effect, but I'd try the adjustments first.
Until it is cured, just drag the clutch a bit in fourth gear when switching off. If it's an auto, wince.
