Hello,

Correct, just connect the grey reverse light wire to pole 87.

Connect the brown wire from the fusebox to either 30 or 85 and then make and install a jumper wire to connect the 30 and 85 poles.

And the black wire from the transmission goes to pole 86.

FYI, you can use the 5 pole version of the common Bosch style relay, the center pole will not be used.

The 5 pole relays are easy to find as most stereo and alarm shops use them by the dozens.

BTW, Volvo sells a replacement relay that has only 3 poles.

It looks nothing like the original and is almost $40.00.
