Sweet. I got into the tank today and beat the sending unit enough until the float dropped. Just filled up showing a full tank on my gauge.

If anyone has a complete sending unit for an 88 volvo 740 turbo wagon or equivilant I am still interested in purchasing a used one. The plate on mine were all the hoses hook up to is in terrible condition with a temporary fix.
