I have a drivers seat problem as well.
Found the detailed cable fix and the seat removal process information.
I can supply the URL in a separate message.
The info says the fix can be done with the drivers seat in the car in 30 min, or with the seat out or partially out in 90 minutes.
The main thing I don't know is the symptom of a cable problem.
The fore and aft motor tries to run but does not.
Like the gears or something are stuck.
The other two motors work OK, and the seat is not askew.
In the classic cable problem does the motor run?
The fixes seem to cure a cable not engaging with the gearbox.
That sounds like the motor runs but does not move the seat.
My motor does not run, but does try to run.
Since the motor does not run, I cannot move the seat forward enough to get the rear bolts out. How do they do it at a salvage yard with no battery in the car?
Final question is, Does the motor run when the cable is too long, requiring the cable fix?
Thanks,
Rich
