best rear shock

I have Monroe air shocks on the back of a 940SE wagon as a cheap replacement for the original Nivomats. They work ok. Nice to have the adjustable pressure for heavy loads. Damping is not what one would call "sporting". Depending on your planned trailer tongue weight you might do well with quality shocks (lots of discussion here and on Turbobricks) and overload springs.
