RUSTY (RPR) is long gone 200 1989

Yes I know what you mean about buying a lot. Over a couple tips down there I purchased about 2000 dollars worth of stuff. Mostly because he made me really nice deals deals as I would be helping him move. I got good stuff and some ugly in the bargains.

I wanted some small drawer cabinets that held all kinds of odd plastic ware for 140's, 240's plus thru 7,8,9, series cars with a display board thrown in with some stuck to it. Since I only have 240's I will have to get creative on spreading the word on getting rid the rest.

When I mention that I was interested in the cabinets only, he said he would not want wish to the stuff in them on anybody and made me a deal as if they were almost empty. He said the newest Volvo's are even worse about one time use in a model year. He did not even try to out guess the needs coming up for them for stocking purposes! I understand what he meant, even though, I did get enough of those doubled-eyed squirting ports on windshield washer nozzles to upgrade all my 240's. No more waiting to catch one side or the other of the blade to get a bug off!

To help him move he gave me a display board which holds, one each, of about nine different disc brake pad styles, just for Volvo's. This across two brake brand systems. At first I figured I would use the plastic board from it and throw away all the rest as you can not use just one pad at a time. My wife wants me to hang it up, like others hang up antique signs.

I think I might as for the the purpose of discussing how stupid or obsessed the automotive regime is at making things territorial at the expense of consumers. When you look at it, you can actually see almost no change or difference in the amount brake friction pad surface areas! Just a menagerie clips and backing plates that all get squeezed just the same!

Speaking of brakes, I have to go back to work on my sister-in-laws Honda Accord's "different" brake calipers. I am replacing the front pads but the So. Cal sun is too hot for me to work steady at any length on them.

Break is over but her list continues on!
Phil
