Well, I'm late to respond. But 87 deg. was too cool for my turbo car in western Oregon, I had sludge on dipstick during winter. Installed 92 and white goo gone.

My favorite Volvo specialist mechanic for 13 years always uses 92 on all 240, 740, 940s. non-turbo (NA) *and* Turbos.

Avoid Wahler brand, see Fritzgerald's posts about their poor reliability. This was my experience too. Vernet-Calorstat good.
