while engine running idle i disconnected TPS and rpm went up to 2000 also engine light come on and flashing red arrow. i guess if car reacted like this TPS is good?

i disconnected battery for 30 minutes to wipe out code but i still have engine light on and flashinf arrow. how to get read of this now?? usually disconnecting battery helps to wipe out engine light.
