Not having seen your Menards model, I suspect the only thing Motive's has over it is the pressure gauge, and its compact, squat design. Maybe the dip tube conserves some of the fluid you'd otherwise not reach with the one costing 10% of the Motive.

The advantage to feeding fluid instead of air from any source is being able to free yourself from back and forth checking and replenishing of the reservoir level.

I used to use vacuum and grease on the bleeder threads. Gravity seemed to work, with a little more patience. It was an upgrade to use pressure from the wife's garden sprayer. She didn't mind at all when I spent family funds on a Motive -- but don't keep your brake fluid in it. There's too much air, and too much breathing with pressure changes to keep the glycol dry. Either return it to the can or better yet, start fresh next time. My opinion with a touch of humble. All of these methods seem way superior to the "Honey, will you help me for a few minutes with the brake pedal?!"
