I've probably put more than a half million miles on various Volvo and MG cars I've owned with the Laycock OD. I do not lift or clutch for upshifts. For downshifts at speed I lightly rest my foot on the clutch pedal while making the shift--not actually depressing it--seems to make the shift seamless. Shifting out of OD at low rpm while coming to a stop doesn't require any action other than flipping the switch. -- Dave
