Is this the same problem that causes the odometer to have trouble getting past the 9's? My 92 can take a while getting past 9 on the final digit and also 99. Haven't had it up to 999 to check that! I'm guessing the extra load to click over 2 digits might cause slippage on the worn shaft, as shown.
