How to remove speedometer cover 700 1988

I've looked through the FAQ and search. I'm trying to find the way to remove and clean the clear plastic cover on my speedometer/dashboard. I did read about the screws on each side under the covers on clock set and dash dimmer but that was related to removing the entire speedometer. Another post I read had using a screw driver to pop out the cover--and be careful! So, what is the best way to do this for a 1988 745?
