Good point about the heat sink paste. If it degrades, the heat transfer from the high current Power Stage can be negatively affected (NPI). However, there is no functional grounding via the mechanical attachment to the inner fender metal. The EZK ICU controls the PS ground wire (and thus the coil ground).
