Remember that Volvos and other European cars have electrical gear that is made from alloys
that develop an invisible nonconductive film in the places where they are supposed to
transfer electrons to other parts. In my 45+ years of driving and working on Volvos, more
than 90% of nonfunctional lights have been because of conduction issues, NOT failed
light bulbs!
You need to get your meter out and chase the circuits from where there IS 12 volts to
where there is NOT 12 volts and break down whatever nonconductive barrier separates them.
