Don't feel bad about having a problem FCP created!

Sounds like they are already working on correcting it. If you've supported FCP all these years, I definitely think you should ask nicely to have them replace the cap. You've trusted them all these years, and it's been good otherwise, you expect them to send you the correct parts. I think even them sending a new cap at wholesale cost would be good solution.

If in doubt about parts needed cross-check with a different company's website, like IPD.
