What this guy said...

Focus on rust, electrical issues and assessing high ticket items:

Does it droop to one side at the rear (TAB's)
Clunking noised while turning... especially going over bumps while turning (lots of possible suspension components)
Apparently that year is a transition year but I think it still had the ignition trigger in the distributor (hall effect sensor) and they are know to have wiring issue.
Coolant in the tranny fluid if an automatic/
