Yes the sanden 508 that i used is sanden fram SD5H14. There are chinese sanden knock-offs out there for less money. Not sure if they are good or not....just beware when buying one that "sanden-type" is not sanden. Other post about brackets is good suggestion. You technically would need to only change the fittings on the suction and high pressure hoses that connect to the compressor. The older R12 hoses are not really supposed to be used with R134a because the R134a diffuses through them but it sounds like you have already accepted that with the earlier freon conversion. And yes the sanden is a 5 cylinder compressor with wobble plate drive which results in much smoother torque requirement compared to the old york.
