The end does not have a clamp. Instead, the factory cable is bent 180 degrees and the bitter end wraps back around the cable.
If it was me, I'd try to reuse the old cable. It may be wise to heat it before trying to make that 180 degree bend. Maybe you could bend it without heat...I don't know for sure. I suppose you've got nothing to lose at this point.
If it was mine, that's what I'd do.

Regardless, I have a used cable available, but it may be cheaper to find one on your side of the country due to shipping. I wonder if new are still available. I don't think it would be the same as a 200 series.
