Light scratch on Crank cover. Am I doomed to replace it?

Not sure what engine this is, B20?.

To me, the one gouge looks a bit deep, though it is not all the way across the seal land. The others don't seem like much of an issue. I see 2 choices for this issue:

1. Scotchbrite or very fine sandpaper to blend most of them out, maybe try a bit of sealer in the gouged area if you don't mind taking it apart again if it doesn't hold and reassembling.

2. Used part, you might try the guys at Voluparts down in Atl, they have tons of used bits. I know cause I visited them on a trip to Atl last spring. I am not related to them.
