Random questions retro fitting AC and washer jet

greendread has postings under 120-130 series. So I guess he wants to install a winshield washer spray jet and AC into his 120-130 series. I believe he has a 122.

Search the archives and you may find an answer.

Anywhere around Philly you should have a host of junkyards for parts from Volvos and other makes with parts that should suit your windshield washer jet needs. I can't speak to performing sheet metal work create a whole that receives a sprayer. You should have wipers. You way want to consider two sprayers if using later model 120 to early 900 series nozzles. Other makes, like Mercedes, may use a single sprayer that broadcasts a horizontally wide, yet flat or slightly arced (higher in the middle) jet pattern from a single sprayer.

Installing AC is another matter. You may get lucky and find some sort of plate or bracket that bolts to the engine block that will carry an AC (R-134 A) compressor, and piping and parts components. There may very well exist a complete aftermarket install kit for your 122. At the very least, search the brickboard archives and you may find other 110-130 series owners, as well as B16-B20 equipped Volvo autos with after market AC installs. Search the usual culprits like IPDUSA, FCP Groton, and maybe RPR and others for such kits.

I've read many articles here and else where as to successful AC installs into the 444, 544, 110, 120, and 130 series as well as newer Volvo models. You are not alone and other threads and brickboard members can guide you.

I have three 240s, and they have the AC systems, yet none of them work. Funny, that.

Good luck.

MacDuffed.
