Very good timing on this question. I was just thinking the same thing.

I'm thinking the speedo cable input on the tailhousing of the M40 should be the same as the M4. I'm not sure how accurate it will be due to the different trans ratios from the M4. In the Ford T5 trannies I worked with in past projects, we had to swap out the gear on the end of the speedo cable to account for different rear axle ratios, but I don't see that as an option with these cables.
