Dylan;
IMO "Drilling out a lock cylinder" is the LAST resort...and has always been way too violent for me...I've actually never had to do it, having always found alternatives...
As an alternative, if you bring a Lock cylinder to a locksmith (trunk is usually fairly simple to extract if unlocked, but better yet, drive the entire vehicle with all its lock cylinders there!), and ask them to make a "Key By Impression"(KBI), they will/should be able to first find the correct key blank (...good chance it is a UN16, but there were others, see also: http://www.sw-em.com/service%20notes.htm#Body ...I have these available)...and make a key that works...then, this key has to be checked, if it hopefully works all locks (lock cylinders MAY have been replaced, not as a set). Once this is confirmed, have copies made and use those as they're stronger, and stash KBI in a safe place.
Good Hunting!
