Dwell change effect on timing (better late than never) 120-130

"Bear in mind, when you increase dwell you advance the spark at the same time."

It's been a long time, but my recollection is that increasing dwell means the points close sooner and open later. Seems like the later opening would mean a later (retarded) spark timing.
