Seriously, on the screen function... 200 1992

Yes, it was a hot wire unit on the Audis. Definitely a similar Bosch housing, screens, and sensor style.

My memory is a little fuzzy as it has been over 10 years since I ran the tests on a number of Audis. I haven't run the same tests on the Volvo, but I was guessing the results would be the same.

A velocity stack, sitting pre MAF/AMM accomplishes the same thing as the screens, without having the small wires "block" anything.

I'll see if I can dig up the manufacturer docs I was referring to. Plus I believe I have the MAF voltage tests documented on an Audi forum (audiworld?). I'll see if I can find that too.

Doing a quick google search on "MAF screen straighten airflow" yielded a ton of results. Though I'm assuming each of those search results has people "proving" their theories on both sides of the fence (or screen). ;o)
