Back to the rain trigger... 200 1991

You get more done in a couple days than some manage in a couple months. Success is inevitable, and the way the meter responds, I'd bet you're there.

As for the crimping, that's a tough one to answer without a lot of qualification. The most important rule, I think, is the terminals fit the wire, and the crimper fits the terminals. I like using uninsulated splices, followed by shrink sleeve but every situation can bring new challenges.

Last generic oxygen sensor I used was on the road. The universal sold at the chain auto parts store cost something like $40 (it was a 4-wire) but came with this nifty waterproof splice box. I've used these twice now -- they require no soldering or special tools, but I've failed to take pictures. No complaints yet.

But back to the crimpers -- these can be found in most home center electrician's tools, and they provide the indent-U crimp which actually reduces the ID of the tube. But you have to go elsewhere for the uninsulated terminals, usually, and in my case it is my collection. Waytek wire offers everything you see here.

If we leave this wagon at home when we leave for a week, the wildlife seems to attack it. These wires were literally chewed through. Next trip, a woodpecker busted the outside mirror. Caught Woody doing it on the other mirror this spring!
