When I removed the rear side panels in my '68 122, to do new interior, they were less than perfect, with some chunks broken out around some of the clip holes, splits & etc. I used pieces of brown paper grocery bags & wood glue, (multiple layers) to repair the bad areas, then topped it with a coat of fiberglass cloth & resin. Turned out pretty good.
