For what it's worth I purchased a set of coils springs for my 122s a couple years ago. I believe that he had a set sitting around that someone had returned for being too low. Fortunately they were exactly what I wanted.
So in my case, he was prompt and communicative.
I have heard many many negative things about John and his business practices but I can only report my personal experience which was entirely positive.
