I too am with State Farm. To get it properly insured at the correct value, it must be appraised first. Even if it isn't in pristine condition, get it done. My guy charged me $125.

An appraiser is viewed by the insurance company as a 3rd party, non biased and hopefully trusted, expert on vintage autos.
