strange electrical problem 200 1993

Took the fuses out and cleaned them and i pulled the overdrive relay and found a dry joint in the solder re ran the solder so far all fine.
I disconnected the overdrive relay wire at the fuse box but i couldn't get the arrow light to go out it stayed dimly on. Then i pulled the relay and found the dry solder joint. so i have left the wiring for the over drive in place.
