Alternator? S90-V90 1997

Sounds like an alternator to me. Charge the battery, disconnect the big wire on the back of the alternator, start the car, take a voltmeter and connect to the terminal on the alternator where you disconneted the wire, and see if you have 12+ volts on the meter. If not-bad alternator.
