M rods 120-130

Did the M rods have the rockwell hardness test spot on them like the B18 and 6-bolt B20 rods do?

Back in the late 1980's I was using 186 Holden pistons from their XU-1 race engine. 3.625" they get to 2130cc. They where the stock casting with the steel expansion ring removed and the slots behind the oil ring replaced with drilled holes. They needed .0075" clearence which tells you what a rough piece they were, but they lasted long enough in an XU-1 to do Bathurst. I would get about 5000miles max and the crown would split, took me about 4 hours to swap them out including honing the bore and a good clean. Back then the au$ was worth about .50 USD, so for the price of 2 B21 Mahle, I could get a box of 6 XU-1 pistons. ONE forged Ross cost more than 4 Mahles, so I was never going to use those. When ACL started producing their hypereutectic "Duralite", I was very happy because I never broke one. Since Mahle bought ACL, they doubled their prices and stock is hard to find, so next time around I will offset grind the crank, attach a set of Scat 4G63 rods and get custom 90.5mm pistons made for 2290cc.
