Thought I cleared it up by replacing the regulator and the resistor.

Went driving tonight and it did the same ...slight glow until rpms increase.
This is with lights on.

I hate to buy another alternator, when it might be something related to something crazy in the electrical.

Ideas welcome ...where to look????
