Hey all,
Yes I have tested everything thoroughly and came up with no shorts on the continuity test. I also "popped" each speaker separately with a 9v battery and they all work fine. I had a blaupunkt head in there for a short period that I had to remove due to one channel was bad on the tape and stereo(beeped fine)
IDK what to do with it anymore its very strange. And like I said I have no amps. Factory or aftermarket. When I mentioned amp module on the old 1991 Sony CD player I should have been more specific by stating that it's what would be contained internally nowadays lol.a neat little box that has rca jacks prob. Could come in handy for other projects:) nice oldskool(pun intended) just CD was temperamental and it was installed out of phase.(now sits in box). I'll try to get around to checking the harness thoroughly this week. I'll take a few pics as well if I can semi figure it out myself. Does the stereo harness snap into another harness like the 740 does or is it all one piece under dash.
I really wish they would have stashed the factory head and associated under that lid in the back but again prob would have been shot after all these years.
Oh and to comment on the wreckers yard..... Good luck in north Dakota for older Volvo's. The one guy I talked to said he sends them right to crusher. I told him he's lucky he was on the phone.LOL
