Volvo 142 Automatic Shift Linkage 140-160

Hello David,

Your broken bushing is not really a heim joint, but more of a ball and socket, but I am picking nits.

FYI, there are 2 more of those shifter bushings on the "dogbone" shift linkage under the car at the transmission, so check those just in case they are getting old.

As to the shifter inside the car, if you are talking about the plastic ball shell that goes inside the 2 piece screw together socket for the shift lever at the steering column, I do actually have that bushing too, but since I think it is the last new 1 on the Earth, I can't let it go.... yet.

I have made a mold of the new 1 I have and I have attempted to make a copy using my mold, but it didn't come out quite right as it has some air pockets plus I don't think I made it out of the right type of material. I used the hardest polyurethane I could easily buy, but I think I need to use something even harder.

However, I will let you have my 1st copy for free if you buy the shifter bushing.

The new shift linkage bushings I sell are $12.00 each plus shipping.
