Son's car blew up its M47 a couple of years ago. Sourced a used one (~90K miles) from a yard in Boston, shipped to MN a week later, total cost was right around $400. It had a 90-day warranty, but was still running great when we sold the car last spring.

That said, I've got a '91 245 with an M47 as my daily driver. If mine goes, I may look into a T5.
