White/red wire attachment to 240 tachometer help needed. 200

I sold a tach/small clock to a person today and am unable to give him the necessary information on how to install it (failing memory!).

The single female connector on the white wire with red stripe attaches to the tachometer, but does it matter which one of the males it gets attached to? I under stand the three female connector goes to the three male prongs.
