Good point.

I have a .pdf of the compiled parts manual (covers 140 models up to 1972) for the back axle and it provides diagrams and list the parts (Volvo part numbers) for the LSD option. If the description in the owners manual is insufficient for the governing body, I can create a .zip of the parts manual for the back axle and email it to the OP. I think Scandcar also has the parts manuals on their website; but, they are only viewable, not downloadable (if you don't count screen grabs).
