Let's cover it in one post.... 120-130 1967

From the lack of technical detail about the car I'll assume it's all original, meaning points ignition, generator, and dual SU HS6 carbs.

Electrical: For that car, start with the battery. It should be fully charged. The generator at this age is struggling, and for the first few minutes of driving, after using the starter, system voltage may be low, and weak spark may make for sluggish driving. One solution is to install an alternator, but then it's not original.

Electrical2: Points need to be cleaned and set occasionally, even replaced. The spring can get tired. Condensors sometimes go bad.

Fuel/Air: For the carbs, there is a combination adjustment for choke and throttle. Most people do not like the engine to idle too high and tend to adjust the choked idle too low, and compensate with their right foot when starting out. The only other factor is altitude. Old SU's have issues, as do all old parts. They are meechanical only and have some wearing surfaces, so need to be in good shape. Also, check the air filters.
