Why Subscriptions?

It is a great site. That is an understatement. There will always people who do more than their share, less than there share, and as Ayn Rand put it, "the looters". I suspect the site is dominated by people who buy used Volvos, 15 years old or older, and take pride in maintaining a dependable car for a year for less money than 1 or two car payments made by the guy next door with the car he is upside down on, and will trade in before he pays for it.
Anyway, in a perfect world, everyone who performs a repair with knowledge from an elaborate sight like this ought to pony up some cash. For sure, a daily user like myself needs to auto contribute, be it $5, or $25,etc. monthly, according to your conscience.
And here is a shout out to guys like Art, who ought to RECEIVE money instead of contribute. Sadly, I think I am witnessing the end of a civilization, marked by an end of the ability or desire to read and comprehend.
Why do you have to read, or study anything any more when most people ask their phone the most mundane or what used to be common knowledge question?

Thanks
